The 7th Digital Twin and Smart Manufacturing Services Conference was successfully held in Jinan, Shandong Province, from July 28th to 30th, 2024.

Co-organized by the international journal Digital Twin and the Digital Twin International Advisory Committee, the conference was hosted by Shandong University.

The conference was chaired by a committee including Professors Zhanqiang Liu, Chengrui Zhang, and Yi Wan from the School of Mechanical Engineering, Shandong University. Professor Tianliang Hu served as the Chair of the Organizing Committee. Chenhong Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Shandong University, attended and addressed the conference. Over 800 experts and scholars from more than 100 universities, research institutes, and enterprises across China participated in the event.

The conference featured 11 parallel sessions with a total of 101 presentations, covering diverse fields such as industrial software, design, manufacturing, energy & mining, ocean engineering, healthcare, smart cities, and underground engineering.

During the conference, the "Digital Twin Industrial Software White Paper" (First Edition, 2023) was officially released.

This white paper was jointly released by the journal Digital Twin, the National Key R&D Program of China project "Precise Modeling Theory and Method for Intelligent Production Process Based on Digital Twin" (Project No.: 2020YFB1708400), Beihang University, Shandong University, Southeast University, and other institutions. It involved collaboration with 8 domestic digital twin software platform R&D units and 33 application units.
