Associate ProfessorJilin UniversityTitle: Research on the Application and Standardization of Digital Twin-Based Biomimetic Manufacturing TechnologyAbstract This report delves into the integration of Digital Twin (DT) technology with biomimetic manufacturing, exploring its significant application prospects and the critical need for standardization. Biomimetic manufacturing, which draws inspiration from biological systems to create efficient and sustainable materials and processes, holds immense potential for revolutionizing industries from aerospace to medicine. However, its complexity often hinders widespread adoption. The incorporation of Digital Twins—virtual replicas of physical systems—addresses this by enabling real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and iterative optimization in a risk-free virtual environment. This synergy allows for the precise simulation and testing of bio-inspired designs before physical production, drastically reducing costs and development time. This report begins by discussing the application prospects of biomimetic manufacturing technology and the current status of academic research and then examines the urgent need to establish standards for digital twin-based biomimetic manufacturing technology.

Senior EngineerNational Information Technology Standardization Committee, ChinaTitle: Interpretation of Maturity Model of Information Technology Digital Twin CapabilityAbstract This report systematically elaborates on the background, core framework, and key content of the "Digital Twin System Capability Maturity Model" standard, aiming to provide the industry with scientific and systematic guidelines for assessing digital twin capabilities. This standard establishes an evaluation system based on the pillars of "capability requirements capability domain capability level", dividing digital twin capabilities into five maturity levels: from the first level of virtual modeling for static digitization, to the second level of virtual real mapping supporting real-time data dynamic updates, the third level of bidirectional interaction for bidirectional control, the fourth level of intelligent decision-making relying on AI for predictive optimization, until the fifth level of autonomous evolution achieves system closed-loop optimization. This standard can help enterprises accurately evaluate the current status of digital twin system construction, clarify the standardization and technological development path, and effectively promote the implementation and value realization of digital twin technology in various industries.

EngineerChina Electronics Standardisation InstituteTitle: Introduction to the Standard: Information technology Digital twin for workshop-Reference architectureAbstract The standard "Information Technology-Digital Twin for Workshop-Reference Architecture" was developed as a foundational framework to standardize the design, development, deployment, and integration of workshop digital twin systems. This standard establishes a unified, extensible, and industry-adaptable architectural blueprint, clarifying the logical composition, functional boundaries, and data interaction mechanisms of WDT systems. It serves as a "technical bridge" connecting physical workshops, digital models, and application services. The architecture adopts a five-tier structure: the Physical Workshop Entity Layer lays the foundation for physical-digital mapping; the Virtual Workshop Modeling Layer constructs high-fidelity digital replicas; the Data Interaction & Processing Layer acts as the "data backbone"; the Application Service Layer addresses core management needs; the Communication & Integration Layer ensures external connection. This standard offers workshop operators a clear digital transformation road map, helps solution providers cut customization costs and develop standardized products, and enables industrial chain interoperability to enhance supply chain agility.
