Digital Twins for Supply Chains

Aims & Scope

Digital Twins are rapidly emerging as a key enabler for Supply Chains, allowing organizations to move from static planning models to dynamic, data-driven, and predictive decision-making systems.

This session aims to explore how Digital Twin technologies can be designed, deployed, and exploited across supply chains to improve resilience, performance, and sustainability in an increasingly uncertain and interconnected world. It will bring together contributions from academia and industry addressing both methodological foundations and real-world applications. The session welcomes original research, industrial case studies, and conceptual frameworks related (but not limited) to:

· Digital Twin architectures for end-to-end supply chains

· Integration of Digital Twins with planning, scheduling, and control systems

· Digital Twins for inventory control and flow improvement

· Digital Twins for supply chain resilience, risk management, and disruption handling

· Sustainability-oriented Digital Twins (carbon, energy, circularity, ESG)

· Real-time monitoring and decision support using Digital Twins

· Interoperability, scalability, and governance issues in supply chain Digital Twins

· Lessons learned from industrial deployments and pilot projects
